What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy (OT) helps individuals gain independence in their lives. It supports children with various needs in improving their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills, while also increasing their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.
Is it covered under the OAP Program?
Yes, our Occupational Therapy program qualifies under the OAP program. Children can also be enrolled in a combination of ABA, OT, and Speech Therapy which are all clinical services that are OAP approved.
What are common goals of an Occupational Therapy program?
  • Improving fine motor skills such as dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and manipulative skills for tasks like writing and self-care.
  • Developing adaptive skills by building independence in daily living activities such as dressing, eating, and hygiene.
  • Increasing participation in school and community activities through enhancing engagement in educational and social settings.
